That little sign led us straight into what felt like a bridal dream.
Tucked away in the heart of downtown St. George was the most magical, cozy boutique overflowing with charm, timeless gowns, and endless inspiration. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the incredibly talented Cameron Hansen. Completely mesmerized, we immediately began asking questions, and Cameron so warm, welcoming, and passionate about her craft, graciously took the time to walk us through her beautiful shop and share the stories behind the pieces she carries.

bridal boutique, Cameo Vintage Bridal is passionate about reusing and recycling, creating a sustainable way to celebrate your wedding day without contributing to fast fashion. They aim to rescue dresses that would otherwise be forgotten and disintegrate with time, allowing the old to become new again and fulfill the dreams of a modern vintage bride at an affordable price.
They welcome visitors of all kinds into the boutique, creating such an inviting and intimate experience for every bride who walks through the doors. Because many of the gowns are delicate vintage pieces, Cameron does ask that younger children be closely supervised while exploring the shop. What inspired you to start Cameo Vintage Bridal?
"I’m an avid thrift shopper and I started to collect vintage gowns that I happened to find, just because they were beautiful and I wanted to restore them. When my collection began to outgrow the space I had in my house, I decided to try selling them online. That idea quickly shifted and grew into a full-blown business with a physical store location, and next thing you know, I was a business owner!"
What drew you specifically to vintage gowns and pieces?
"I started delving into vintage fashion about 10 years ago. I really enjoy the history and the storytelling that clothing supplies to a culture with its different silhouettes and fabrics and techniques and necessary machinery. I wanted to provide not only different and unique gowns to the wedding dress market, but a sustainable option that reuses old gowns that otherwise would’ve been lost to time or become someone’s Halloween costume."
How would you describe the experience brides can expect when shopping at your store?
"In my shop, I welcome brides, family and friends, curious shoppers who aren’t even looking for a wedding dress, vintage lovers who just want to take a look, you name it! (I do ask that you closely supervise any young children.) We’ve had the most fun impromptu photoshoots from gals who were just stopping by, and now those photos can be seen on my website (with permission). I offer private appointment times (bookable on my website) as well as walk-in hours for the general public. I assist with changing in the dressing room and can accommodate about 5 additional people that come to support the bride."
What is one thing you want brides to know when looking vintage?
"Vintage gowns tend to run small, but not because “everyone was so much skinnier back then.” It’s because the smaller gowns that didn’t fit a lot of people and didn’t get reused for generations are the ones that survive easier than larger, more accessible sizes. You can find vintage gowns that are in larger sizes, they’re just difficult to come by. Also remember that the older a gown is, the more likely it is that the fabric is brittle, so some gowns can be salvaged and rework, some need extra gentle care when wearing, and some are best left for display only or repurposed into parts of a different gown."
